Azerbaijan's Republic Day marked in several countries

Paris hosted an event on the occasion of May 28 – the Republic Day of Azerbaijan.

The event was organized at the Dauphine pavilion.

The event brought together state and government officials of France, senators and deputies, representatives of public, scientific and educational institutions and diplomatic corps accredited in Paris, as well as heads of international organizations, diaspora representatives and Azerbaijani students.

Ambassador Elchin Amibayov highlighted the history of Azerbaijan`s independence and the ongoing processes after the restoration of independence.

Azerbaijan`s Consulate General in Dubai has hosted an event on Independence Day of Azerbaijan.

The event brought together officials of State and Non-Governmental Organizations of the Emirate of Dubai, as well as ambassadors of the diplomatic corus accredited in Dubai, representatives of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Airlines and businessmen.

Consul General Parviz Ismayilzade provided an insight into the history of Azerbaijan, adding, the first Democratic Republic in the Muslim East was founded in Azerbaijan.

He also highlighted political, economic and social reforms carried out in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event featured demonstration of a documentary “Azerbaijan: Land of Fire”.

The participants were distributed booklets and brochures narrating on Azerbaijan.
