PACE official acclaims law on domestic violence in Azerbaijan

Chairman of Azerbaijani parliament`s standing committee for social policy Hadi Rajabli met first deputy chairman of PACE Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination Jose Mendes Bota on Tuesday.

Rajabli provided an insight into activities of the committee, particularly its international cooperation. He highlighted the government reforms towards improving social security of the population.

Mendes Bota spoke of what PACE had been doing to put away violence against women.
He also hailed the law on domestic violence prepared by Azerbaijan`s parliament.
