President Ilham Aliyev opens residential area for 760 IDP families in Masazir, Baku - PHOTOS

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated a residential area for 760 IDP families in Masazir, Absheron district, Baku.

Deputy prime minister, chairman the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs told the Head of State that the facility in Masazir was the 78th residential area built for refugees and IDPs in Azerbaijan.

Some 760 families or 3,420 IDPs will be resettled in the newly-built facility, which occupies a total area of 12 hectares.

There are a number of social facilities in the area, including a 540-seat school, a 280-seat kindergarten, a club, and a medical center.
The President was told that construction of the facility started last April.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed new headquarters of Zangilan District Executive Authorities.
The Head of State then visited the house of Zangilan IDP Vali Guliyev, where they had a joint tea party.

The President visited Shafag kindergarten, and then proceeded to the local school where he viewed a computer room, and watched training of sportsmen. President Ilham Aliyev also viewed exhibits from a museum of history and local lore in Zangilan on the second floor of the school. The Head of State then met IDPs and constructors.

Khudush Isgandarov, an IDP from Zangilan, thanked the President for his care and attention.
