
The Norwegian Azerbaijanis' Youth Organization (NAYO) and the “Azerbaijan house” on will hold an exhibition and a commemorative event on the 21st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide in Sagene municipality, Oslo, Saturday.
According to the Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the exhibition that will last till March 1 will demonstrate Armenian barbarism to the local community.
Participants of the event will also adopt an appeal to the Norwegian parliament calling it to recognize the Khojaly tragedy as genocide against humanity.
The exhibition will show more than 100 books and photos on the Khojaly tragedy sent by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the NAYO in 2009.
The commemorative event will feature demonstration of a documentary on Khojaly.
NAYO chair Ramil Aliyev said the event aims to achieve the Norwegian government`s political and legal assessment of the Armenians` atrocities against Azerbaijani people.

18:42The Azerbaijani embassy in South Africa has disseminated information
about the tragedy in connection with the 21st anniversary of Khojaly
genocide.
The relevant information has been sent to the public and government
agencies of the country, as well as diplomatic missions of foreign
countries accredited in South Africa, the embassy told Trend on
Thursday.
According to the information, details, photos and a video about the
Khojaly genocide were placed on the official website of the NGO 'African
friends of Azerbaijan'.
On Feb. 25-26 February, 1992, Armenian occupation forces together
with the 366th infantry regiment of Soviet troops stationed in Khankendi
(previously called Stepanakert) committed an act of genocide towards
the population of the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly.
Some 613 people were killed including 63 children, 106 women and 70
old men. A total of 1000 civilians were disabled during the genocide.
Eight families were killed, 130 children lost one parent and 25 lost
both. Additionally, 1275 innocent residents were taken hostage, while
the fate of 150 remains unknown.

K?z?lcahamam district of Ankara Province, as well as at the Firat University, Turkish Flight Academy, Gazi University and National Police Academy will host the conferences and ceremonies on Khojaly massacre.
Azerbaijan`s Consulate General in Istanbul and Azerbaijani diaspora organizations will hold a rally on Khojaly massacre, as well as conferences and ceremonies.
The events will bring together state and governmental officials of both countries, as well as MPs of Grand National Assembly of Turkey, scientists, and member of the Azerbaijani community in Turkey.

The event will be attended by Iranian officials, public figures of Tabriz and media chiefs.
A film and photo exhibition on the Khojaly massacre will be demonstrated, as well as DVDs, books, newspapers, and leaflets will be distributed to participants during the event.
Over the night from February 25 to 26, 1992 Armenian armed forces implemented the capture of the Khojaly city with support of hard equipment and the personnel of the infantry guards regiment #366 of former Soviet Union. 613 people were killed, among them; 63 children, 106 women, 70 the elderly. 8 families were killed completely. 25 children lost both parents. 130 children lost one of the parents. 487 people were wounded, including; 76 children, 1275 people were hostages, 150 people were missing.

09:26Turkey-Azerbaijan Circle will organize a panel and photo exhibition under the title “1992: the Khojaly tragedy” in Istanbul on 24 February to commemorate victims of the Khojaly genocide.
The event will be joined by Azerbaijani and Turkish parliamentarians and officials, Azerbaijan`s State Committee on Work with Diaspora said.
The event aims to inform world community about the truths of the Khojaly genocide and raise international civil awareness through demonstration of photos of suffered people.
On the night of February 26, 1992, the Armenian military forces together with 366th infantry regiment of the former Soviet stationed in Khankendi attacked Khojaly, which was under siege for months, and in one night the city was wiped off the face of the earth. Ruthless massacre of civilians was organized during this bloody action - 613 killed, 1275 taken hostages. The fate of 150 is still unknown. 63 children, 106 women and 70 old men were among those killed. 8 families were completely destroyed.

14:13German city of Potsdam will host a protest rally to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the Khojaly massacre.
According to the Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the rally, to be organized by the German-Azerbaijan Youth Association, will feature speeches condemning Armenian aggression.
The rally participants will be informed on the Khojaly realities and they will be distributed CDs and brochures on the tragedy.
The rally that will last from 12.00 to 13.30 will see the adoption of a statement addressed to Germany`s government bodies and organizations.

11:25The Nationalist Movement Party`s (MHP) provincial branch in Kars, Turkey, has organized an event to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.
The event brought together parliamentarians, Azerbaijanis living in Kars, students and teachers of the Kars University.
The event featured a documentary on the Khojaly genocide. Opening the event, member of MHP`s central board Maharram Yildiz called the Khojaly massacre one of the greatest tragedies in history.
Member of Azerbaijan`s parliament Aydin Mirzazade spoke about the consequences of Armenia`s aggressive policy against his country and history of the Khojaly genocide.
Members of the Turkish parliament from MHP Sinan Ogan and Yusuf Halaco?lu described the Khojaly tragedy as a crime against humanity.
Azerbaijan`s consul general in Kars Aykhan Suleymanov also participated in the event.

On February 23rd Azerbaijanis, living in Sweden, will gather on Mynttorget, one of the central squares of Stockholm, to hold a rally in honor 21st anniversary of Khojaly tragedy. The rally is organized by Committee, based in Stockholm and uniting Azerbaijani compatriots. The rally will be held right in front of the building of Sweden Parliament Riksdag, the press service of Committee of Azerbaijanis in Sweden reports. CAS is directly involved in the activity of the Committee and organization of the demonstration.
Other diaspora organizations, particularly the representatives of Uygur and Turkish diasporas in Sweden, are invited to the rally. Moreover, the invitation of participation in the rally was sent to all political parties of the country and different international organizations. The resolution on three languages - Azerbaijani, Swedish and Russian - will be read out during the rally in honor of Khojaly tragedy of 1992. The given document, composed by all Azerbaijani diaspora unions of Sweden, will be sent to the deputies of Riksdag and leaders of political parties. The resolution calls upon bringing to justice Armenian criminals, who committed one of the most terrifying genocides against civilians in 20th century.
"Furthermore, Armenian armed forces must immediately leave the territory of Azerbaijan, and Armenia is obliged to demonstrate cooperation with international organizations in search of lost Azerbaijanis during the conflict. Armenian occupation of Azerbaijan territories caused enormous material damage, that's why Armenia must be brought to international justice and pay compensation to Azerbaijan. International community should immediately impose political and economic sanctions against Armenia due to the refusal to withdraw from occupied Azerbaijani territories and judge Armenian military criminals according to international law.
In the end of the resolution Azerbaijanis of Sweden urge Swedish government, Parliament, political parties and NGOs to take an active part in the recognition of the Armenian aggression and demand the immediate withdrawal of Armenian forces from the occupied Azerbaijani territories.
Along with this, a video file showing atrocities committed by Armenians against Azerbaijani civilians of Khojaly will be sent to Swedish politicians.
In the framework of the rally Azerbaijani flag will be waved and the pictures from that terrifying tragedy will be shown.
