OIC backs Azerbaijan's position on Karabakh

“Organization of Islamic Cooperation supports the just position of Baku in the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict which I mentioned in my report, speaking at the 12th summit of our organization” said on his interview to AzerTAc, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ikhsanoglu.

“We have always supported and will support the just position of Azerbaijan on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and we are worried about the presence of this conflict”, added the Secretary-General.

Azerbaijanis have faced large-scale aggression and suffered from great injustice - aggression and occupation on their homelands lands.
“We must to fight against this injustice and occupation. Azerbaijan is very important and close country for us.

During my work in the organization at this post, OIC made great efforts along with Azerbaijan to reach progress in this direction.
I want to stress personal support of President Ilham Aliyev. We have done a lot together with your Government and assure you that we will continue to actively work in this direction," E. Ikhsanoglu said.
