President Ilham Aliyev held several meetings - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today has received a delegation led by Jan Kubish, special envoy of the United Nations Secretary General.

President Ilham Aliyev and special envoy Jan Kubish expressed satisfaction with Azerbaijan`s activity in the UN agencies in recent years. They hailed the level cooperation of Azerbaijan with Afghanistan within the United Nations. The sides stressed assurance that this cooperation would further be expanded.

President Ilham Aliyev and special envoy Jan Kubish said after withdrawal of international troops from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan would make its huge contribution to bolstering stability and statehood, as well as to economic growth.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation led by EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Philippe Lefort.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union and the current state of talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation led by chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bozo Ljubic.

The Head of State stressed the importance of expanding political, economic and parliamentary cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Ilham Aliyev recalled a visit by chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic to Azerbaijan, noting the significance of high-level reciprocal visits in terms of the development of the bilateral relations.

The President stressed the importance of the two countries` cooperation and mutual support within international organizations.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence Bozo Ljubic`s visit would contribute to developing the Azerbaijan-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations, particularly the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
