Azerbaijan`s FM holds several meetings in France

Visiting Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov on Monday met his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian.

They discussed issue on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Prior to the meeting, Elmar Mammadyarov has met the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov of Russia, Jacques Faure of France, Ian Kelly of the United States of America and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The sides reached an agreement on holding of the one more meeting in the coming weeks and continuing of the resolution process.

They also discussed the recent reports issued by the Armenian media outlets on settlement of Syrian Armenians in Azerbaijan`s occupied territories.
Mr. Mammadyarov expressed his concern over settlement of Syrian Armenians in Azerbaijan`s occupied lands. The minister underlined that such steps were illegal and unacceptable.
Elmar Mammadyarov also noted that the flights to Khojaly airport were illegal and said this just may be carried out as part of a large-scale settlement plan.

“To launch any flight to the occupied territories in this period is illegal,” the Azeri Minister added.
