Azerbaijani diplomat elected PACE VP

Head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov has been re-elected as vice president of the organization.

Seyidov was re-elected to this post in accordance with the procedure on the elections of PACE deputy chairmen. Seyidov was also PACE vice-president in the past.

Jean-Claude Mignon has been re-elected as PACE President. It has been decided at the meeting of the PACE winter session today.

Winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has today started. The session will last till January 25. The agenda of the PACE session will include also the honoring of obligations and commitments by the countries.

Delegates will also discuss issues related to freedom of the press in Europe.
