Azerbaijan, Korea seek to expand cooperation

Azerbaijan and Korea have explored ways of developing inter-parliamentary cooperation as the Members of the country`s Parliament`s working group on Azerbaijan-Korea inter-parliamentary relations on Friday met Member of the Korean National Assembly Joo Ho-young.

Azerbaijan`s MP Malik Hasanov touched upon the historical existing friendship relations between the two countries, adding these ties had developed day by day.

He also said that both countries have rich natural resources and there was a base for the further expansion of the cooperation and hailed the activity of the friendship group on the development of the inter-parliamentary relations.

The MP briefed the delegation on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, adding this conflict was keeping under serious threat the peace and stability in the region.
Joo Ho-young, in turn, said that Azerbaijan was the developing country in the international arena and expressed satisfaction on holding of the international events in the country and noted that there were opportunities for the further expansion of exchanging experience.
