“The Alican border gate will not open until the lands of Azerbaijan are liberated,” said Serdar Unsal, the Turkish-Azerbaijani Association`s Igdir department`s chairman, on behalf of the society of Igdir, a Turkish region bordering with Armenia.
He noted that an appeal of the Armenian lobby addressed to the White House in order to allegedly send Syrian Armenians to Armenia should be considered provocative.
"This is because the Alican border gate is far away from the Syrian border. In addition, already circa 6,000 Armenians were departed to Armenia. The Armenian lobby wants to give this factor as a pretext and reach the opening of the border. But this step will never be made. And the Turkish head of state and government have statements that the border gates will not open until the occupied lands of Azerbaijan are liberated.”
