NAP says President Ilham Aliyev will win presidential elections with strong support from population

Chairman of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, President Ilham Aliyev will once again win elections without facing any viable competition, NAP Deputy Executive Secretary, MP Mubariz Gurbanli said during an interview posted on the NAP's official website.

According to him, as a result of successful internal and foreign policies led by President Ilham Aliyev, today Azerbaijan's economy is rapidly developing, the country commands respect in the international arena, it is known as a reliable strategic partner and a tolerant state that ensures socio-political stability at a high level.

President Ilham Aliyev is internationally perceived as an authoritative leader. Azerbaijani society expresses great confidence in its head of state, he added.

"The NAP will continue its preparations for the 2013 presidential elections. We believe that with the help of regional and city organizations belonging to the NAP and activists, along with thousands of non-party members defending the policies of President Ilham Aliyev, we can carry out a successful election campaign. We hope the NAP will use and benefit from the success of the domestic and foreign policy of President Ilham Aliyev while conducting its election campaign and that it will win a landslide victory in the upcoming elections, Gurbanli said.

According to him, the work done and the rapid development achieved under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is is highly appreciated not only by Azerbaijani society, but by international experts and rating agencies as well.

"This suggests that President Ilham Aliyev will win the 2013 presidential elections with strong support from the population," he added.
