Azerbaijan, Iraq eye coop

Azerbaijan and Iraq have explored prospects for developing the bilateral cooperation as head of the Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijani President Farhad Mammadov met Iraqi Minister of Communications and Minister of Provinces Torhan Mudher Hassan Al-Mufti, ambassador Heydar Shiya Gubeysi al-Barrak and head of the country`s Strategic Group Watheq Al-Hashimi.

They discussed efforts to strengthen scientific cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iraq.

They stressed the importance of the 3rd forum of think tanks of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was hosted by the Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijani President in Baku last year.
