'Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Argentina strongly developed'

 “Only Brazil leaves Azerbaijan behind for the mutual official visits with Argentina in 2012. If we take into account that Brazil is one of our main commercial and political allies, it is the highest indicator. Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Argentina have strongly developed and deepened in trade sector,” Argentine chargé d'affaires to Azerbaijan Alberto F Alonso Villaverde said.

Villaverde said that both countries need to get to know each other deeply and determine the spheres, where they can establish close relations. “Argentina and Azerbaijan and not rivals, they are countries complementing each other. Therefore, close cooperation can be established,” he said.

Alberto F. Alonso Villaverde underlined that Armenia-Argentina friendship will not have a negative influence on Azerbaijan-Argentina relations.

“Argentina is trying to establish relations with all countries based on friendship of peoples, peaceful solution to conflicts. It is the historical position of Argentina to establish friendship with all countries supporting peace. Argentina considers that Azerbaijan and Armenia should continue peace talks in order to find a solution to Karabakh conflict. Nowaways conflicts can be solved only peacefully. Conflicts should be avoided in politics, every problem should be solved peacefully. This is the strongest, safest and lasting way,” he said.
