'Azerbaijani economy is open to foreign investments '

Head of the working group for Azerbaijan-China interparliamentary ties, deputy chairman, executive secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov met with the Chinese delegation led by Bai Lichen, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)

Ahmadov noted that close ties between the parliaments help cement friendship between the two countries. The sides noted that Azerbaijan-China ties are deeply rooted in history.

"Azerbaijan keeps a close eye on the rapid development of China. We think that we give an impetus to this development by reciprocal visits. China`s supporting territorial integrity of Azerbaijan created an opportunity for establishing ties in political field too," Ahmadov said.
Ahmadov told of the contacts between the Communist Party of China and New Azerbaijan Party.
On the economic ties, Ahmadov pointed out that Azerbaijani economy is open to foreign investments and Chinese entrepreneurs can invest their money into various sectors of the Azerbaijani economy.

Lichen noted that expansion of bilateral cooperation serve welfare of peoples of both countries.
"After the 18th session of the communist party of China, the aim was set to develop relationship with Azerbaijan even more. I believe that friendly ties between the two parliaments must expand and there are all opportunities for that. We have to develop our cooperation, support each other in international arena. We think that this cooperation will be important for establishment of stability and peace in the region," Lichen said.

The parties also exchanged views on the reciprocal visits, cooperation in economic, political, cultural and humanitarian fields.
