Azerbaijan- Pakistan ties mulled

 Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov has met the country`s acting Speaker of National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi.

Mr. Shikarov touched upon the political, economic, humanitarian aspects of Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations and thanked Faisal Karim Kundi on Pakistan`s support of Azerbaijan`s just position on solving of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and, non-recognition of Armenia due to aggression policy as a country.

Faisal Karim Kundi, in turn, recalled the historical, cultural, and religious similarity between the two countries` peoples, adding this contributed to the development of the relations.
He also said that Pakistan`s recognition Armenia as a country would be possible only after the liberation of the Azerbaijan`s occupied territories.

Faisal Karim Kundi also praised the humanitarian projects held in several provinces of Pakistan by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. They noted that there was wide potential for development of the economic cooperation between the two countries.

They discussed cooperative opportunities between both countries in the fields of energy, pharmacology, agriculture, information technologies and defense industry.
