Heydar Aliyev Park and Heydar Aliyev secondary school open in Ankara

 The Heydar Aliyev Park and Heydar Aliyev secondary school were inaugurated here after major overhaul by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.

Speaking to the ceremony, National Education Minister of Turkey Omar Dincar said the park is a symbol of friendship between Turkey and Azerbaijan. He said moral values appreciated by Azerbaijani people are important for the Turkish people too.

Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Elchin Afandiyev said there are schools, universities and parks bearing the name of Heydar Aliyev in a number of countries. Opening the park in Ankara is a landmark event, he added.

Acting chairman of Ankara municipality Ali Coskun pointed out Ankara residents always revere the memory of Heydar Aliyev. According to him, the people of Turkey will never forget this great statesman.

The event was also attended by President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev, Education Minister Misir Mardanov, Azeri ambassador Faig Bagirov and other officials.
