
“Russia-Azerbaijan bilateral ties is developing rapidly. Azerbaijan is most economically developed country in the post-Soviet space,” the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee of Russian State Duma for the Commonwealth of Independent States and Compatriots Tatyana Moskolkova said.
Moskolkova spoke about the Russia-Azerbaijan relations noting that the attitude to Russian language in Azerbaijan is a good example for the other CIS states. None of the Russian-language schools situated in Baku stopped activity there after regaining the independence. There was opened Baku branch of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov which will make great contribution in the further development of bilateral relations between the two states. The Russian representative stressed the great role of Professor Nargiz Pashayeva in development process of the bilateral relationship.
As a result of the care of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the science and culture, Azeri people today deeply respect the Russian language.
