National leader Heydar Aliyev to be commemorated in Turkey

A series of events commemorating Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev will be held in Turkish cities.  The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara will arrange a commemoration ceremony in front of a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The embassy will also host a conference in collaboration with Bilkent University and Turkey Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Fund.

Entitled “Culture and Arts in Heydar Aliyev world”, the conference will bring together politicians, academicians and culture figures, as well as Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Elchin Afandiyev, Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek and Deputy Prime Minister Basir Atalay.

In Sariyer province, Istanbul, a commemorative ceremony will be organized by Azerbaijan`s Consulate General, and will be attended by MPs, businessmen, scientists and cultural figures.
Other commemorative ceremonies will be held in Kars, Izmir, Adana, Bursa.
