'Karabakh conflict settlement is especially important amid mounting tension in the region '

French minister for European affairs Bernard Cazeneuve has stressed the importance of finding a solution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict amid escalation of tension in the region.

Speaking to journalists in Dublin, he said France, as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair, remained committed to the negotiations to solve the dispute.

Cazeneuve noted all latest meetings between the co-chairs and the conflicting sides` foreign ministers were aimed at settling the problem, adding some of these meetings were held in Paris.
