Cooperation issues in focus of Azerbaijan-UK talks

 Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met British Foreign Secretary William Hague on the sidelines of a meeting of foreign ministers of ISAF - Afghanistan International Security Assistance Force countries in Brussels.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in a variety of fields. The sides praised the bilateral cooperation within the UN Security Council.

They also discussed topical issues on the agenda of the UN Security Council. The British Foreign Secretary hailed Azerbaijan-NATO partnership and expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support for the Alliance`s operation in Afghanistan.

Mammadyarov and Hague also discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union. The meeting of foreign ministers of ISAF focused on the financial support of Afghan forces after 2014.
