
The Romania`s Embassy in Azerbaijan has today hosted a reception on the country`s Union Day. The event brought together Azerbaijan`s state and government officials, as well as ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of society.
After playing the national anthems of the two countries, the ambassador Daniel Christian Ciobanu briefed the event participants on development of Romania.
Touching upon the Azerbaijan-Romania relations, the ambassador said that the comprehensive relations between the two countries steadily developed over the last years. He also noted establishment of the relations between the two countries` presidents had contributed to the further development of the strategic cooperation.
Daniel Christian Ciobanu expressed confidence relationship between Azerbaijan and Romania would continue to develop.
On behalf of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev, Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev congratulated the Romanian people on the occasion of the holiday.
He said that the reciprocal visits of both countries` presidents gave impetus to the further development of the bilateral relations. He also praised Azerbaijan-Romania cooperation within the regional and international organizations.
Following the meeting, diplomas of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs were presented to Deputy head of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev, rector of the ADA Hafiz Pashayev, Chairman of the Parliament`s committee on international relations and inter-parliamentary ties Samad Seyidov, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies Farhad Mammadov, Chairman of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan, MP Azay Guliyev.
