Azerbaijan, Egypt eye coop

Azerbaijani ambassador to Egypt Shahin Abdullayev has met Egyptian investment minister Osama Saleh, civil aviation minister Samir Imbabi, education minister Musafa al-Said Musad and deputy culture minister Kamilla Subhi.

They discussed a wide range of issues, including prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt in economic, education, cultural, tourism and ICT spheres, promotion of investments and tourists, opening of direct airline, commerce opportunities, holding Egyptian culture days in Azerbaijan and next meeting of joint intergovernmental commission and organizing high-level reciprocal visits.

The Egyptian officials said the country`s new government was interested in strengthening relations with Azerbaijan.

Minister Abdullayev briefed the Egyptian officials on Azerbaijan`s accomplishments in political, economic, social and other spheres, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
