Azerbaijan to join Energy and Economic Summit in Turkey

Vice-speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Valeh Alasgarov will leave for Istanbul, Turkey, to participate in the Energy and Economic Summit.

The Summit is a unique annual initiative launched by the Council`s Eurasia Center in cooperation with its partners in the Black Sea, Caspian and Central Asian regions. The Summit`s goal is to promote regional cooperation, investment, and trade, as well as to strengthen a sense of community in the greater Black Sea area.

Prior to the visit, Mr. Alasgarov will also participate in an opening ceremony of representation of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) in Brussels, Belgium.
