Azerbaijan and Ukraine's efforts are aimed at ensuring that economy took up more space in the activity of the GUAM, Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksandr Mishchenko said at a news conference in Baku on Wednesday.
He said it is a small format where it is possible to find mutually acceptable options to benefit all parties.
"These are particularly transportation projects, economic projects, and others," he said.
Everyone positively assesses GUAM, the diplomat said.
According to Mishchenko, Ukraine and Azerbaijan are active participants of the GUAM. Last anniversary meeting of the organization, which took place in Kiev at the level of foreign ministers, showed that the organization has a future, and "we have quite pragmatic approach to it," Mishchenko said.
GUAM was formed by the post-Soviet countries in 1997 during the EU presidential summit in Strasbourg. In 1999, Uzbekistan joined the organisation and left four years later.
