Azeri official meets TurkPA meeting participants

First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ziyafet Asgarov met with participants of the second meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkish-Speaking countries (TurkPA).

Ziyafet Asgarov said that since its establishment TurkPA had held effective conferences, workshops and other events. The second meeting of the legal commission adopted important decisions as well. He expressed confidence that the decisions made would have a positive impact on development of regions among the states.

He praised the fact that TurkPA members states share the same positions within international organizations. He found the need for solidarity and expressed assurance that the TurkPA membership would increase down the road.

Chairman of the TurkPA legal commission Haluk Ipek pointed out that such meetings play important role in development of relations between the states, expansion of cooperation in the law-making. The constitutions of member-states were translated in other languages and published in a book form.

The meeting was attended by MPs from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan as well as employees of TurkPA secretariat.
