Cooperation between Azerbaijan and CoE appraised

Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni has expressed the organization`s readiness to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan as she met Tuesday the country`s justice minister Fikrat Mammadov.

Battaini-Dragoni praised the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe.

Mammadov highlighted the Azerbaijani government`s reforms to modernize justice system, in particular increasing the number of judges and ensuring the transparency of their election.
The Minister pointed out the Council of Europe praised Azerbaijan`s justice reforms.
