'Azerbaijan appreciates Germany's support for its territorial integrity'

Azerbaijan appreciates Germany's support for the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity and its position over the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a reception organised by the German-Azerbaijani Forum during his official visit to Germany.

Mammadyarov stressed the successful cooperation between the two countries, both in bilateral format and within international organisations, the ministry's official Twitter page reports.

Mammadyarov also expressed Azerbaijan's interest in the development of cooperation with Germany in the humanitarian sphere.

During the visit, Mammadyarov met with his counterpart, Guido Westerwelle and discussed prospects of cooperation and Azerbaijan's role in ensuring energy security.

Mammadyarov left for Germany for an official visit on Thursday. During the visit meetings with officials are scheduled.
