President Ilham Aliyev meets Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and and his spouse at Heydar Aliyev Foundation - UPDATE- PHOTOS

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic and his spouse Sebia Izetbegovic have today visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Mr. Bakir Izetbegovic and his spouse Sebia Izetbegovic were welcomed by Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev. They were briefed on the activity of the Foundation.

The chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and his spouse Sebia Izetbegovic were told that the main goal of the Foundation, established in memory of the Azerbaijani people`s national leader, is to study and popularize prominent political figure Heydar Aliyev`s rich heritage, give an idea to the future generations and foreign visitors about his large-scale activity to achieve Azerbaijan`s socio-economic, cultural progress.

They saw exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader and reflecting his childhood, youth, university years and career, pictures covering the very various moments of his life and giving a comprehensive idea of the whole history of Azerbaijan.

Mr. Bakir Izetbegovic signed the Foundation`s Guest Book.

He was presented with a keepsake.

The talks between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic in presence of delegations were followed by a ceremony of signing the Azerbaijan- Bosnia and Herzegovina documents.

Azerbaijani Minister of Education Misir Mardanov and Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sadik Ahmetovic signed the “Cooperation agreement in the field of education between the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina”

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sadik Ahmetovic signed “Convention on elimination of double taxation in regard with profits and property and prevention of tax evasion between the Azerbaijani government and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina”

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sadik Ahmetovic signed “Agreement on exempt of persons who have diplomatic and service passports from visa between the Azerbaijani government and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic had a one-on-one meeting.

They expressed satisfaction with development of the political relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina and stressed importance to exploring the cooperation opportunities in economic, humanitarian and other spheres.

They expressed assurance on further developing of the relations between both countries. They exchanged views on issues of bilateral, international and mutual interest.

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic has today been given an official welcome to Azerbaijan.

A guard of honor was lined up for Mr. Bakir Izetbegovic at the square decorated with the national flags of Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Bakir Izetbegovic. They inspected ceremonial Guard of Honor.

Azerbaijani state and government officials were introduced to Bakir Izetbegovic, while members of the Bosnia and Herzegovinian delegation to President Ilham Aliyev.

They posed for photographs.
