Azerbaijani President holds several meetings- UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received UEFA President Michel Platini.

They expressed confidence of high-level organization of FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Azerbaijan noting championship aroused great interest in the country and world.

They also underlined the importance of implementing measures in the development of sports, as well as football in Azerbaijan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a US delegation led by Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin.

They expressed satisfaction on development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and US in various fields. They also noted that there were great opportunities for further expansion of the relations in the economical sphere.

The sides also stressed importance of high level cooperation in the energy sphere between the two countries.

They also exchanged views on current state of negotiations on regulations of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the other issues.
