Azerbaijan to examine foreign archives to help ascertain truth about genocide

A group of employees of the Institute of History of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences will be sent to Russia, France, Germany and Georgia to reveal the documents on the genocide and ethnic cleansing policy against Azerbaijanis in foreign archives, the Institute said on Friday.

Member of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Yagub Mahmudov raised the questions about delivering historical documents from foreign archives to Azerbaijan and the work over the publication of the documents in the form of collection.

A decision was made to pay more attention to this issue, find it appropriate to send its employees abroad and apply to the relevant bodies.
