RF Navy Caspian flotilla detachment arrives in Baku - PHOTOS

A Russian navy Caspian flotilla detachment including the Tatarstan flagship and MB-58 tugboat under the flag of flotilla commander Counter Admiral Sergey Alekminskiy arrived in Baku on Tuesday.

The commander of the Azerbaijani navy Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov greeted Counter Admiral Alekminskiy and the Russian seamen.

The purpose of the visit is the development and strengthening of friendly contacts between Russian and Azerbaijani sailors in the Caspian Sea.

The programme includes business meetings, experience exchanges, introduction of Baku sights to Russian sailors and joint sport events.

The Tatarstan will be open to the public on October 10.
