President Ilham Aliyev holds several meetings - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the former Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini.

The sides noted the importance of Baku International Humanitarian Forum for boosting cooperation between the two states adding there is a growing interest in the forum.

The sides underlined the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Italy were successfully developing. They expressed confidence relations between Azerbaijan and Italy would continue to expand. They also exchanged views on Azerbaijan-Italy and Azerbaijan-European Union cooperation.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on October 3 received ex-President of Bulgaria Georgi Pirvanov. Stressing the importance of Georgi Pirvanov’s participation in the International Humanitarian Forum which opens in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku tomorrow, President Ilham Aliyev said this event has caused great interest in the world.

The President said that the Forum, which has brought together over 600 delegates from 70 countries, is a significant international project in the field of humanitarian cooperation.

Georgi Pirvanov recalled his cooperation with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and joint efforts of the two leaders which led to the high level of cooperation between the two countries. Former Bulgarian leader Georgi Parvanov expressed his hope that friendly relations between the two countries will continue in the future.

 President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Director General of ISESCO Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri.

The Director General presented an emblem dedicated to the 30th anniversary of ISESCO to the Head of State for his care and attention to the activity of the Organization.

The Azerbaijani leader stressed the importance of participation of Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri at the Baku International Humanitarian Forum forthcoming this week.

During the meeting, they noted the importance of the Forum, adding the forum has become regular. They also expressed confidence successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and ISESCO would continue to expand.
