Erdogan: 'We will not change our position until restoration of our Azerbaijani brothers’ rights'

Justice and Development Party (AKP) held a congress. About 200 guests from various countries attended the IV AKP congress.

Azerbaijani delegation led by YAP deputy chairman Ali Ahmedov, and Milli Majlis Deputy Eldar Ibrahimov participated in the congress.

Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Armenia and its supporters must be aware of the position of Turkey: “We will not change our position until restoration of our Azerbaijani brothers’ rights”.

In a two-and-a-half-hour speech, delivered in front of an adoring crowd of party delegates, Erdogan detailed his party's achievements after nearly a decade in power, while also laying out a road map for what his role could be in the future.

Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was re-elected Sunday as leader of his Islamic-rooted party, securing his seat for three more years.

Erdogan faced no competition in the vote, which was held at the congress of his Justice and Development Party (AKP) in a sports arena with 1895 party members from 81 regions in attendance.
