Azerbaijan, Sweden mull gender questions

Chairperson of State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova and her accompanied delegation visited Sweden.

During the visit, the delegation participated in the round table discussions on the subjects “Women in politics”, “Role of women in democratic states”, “Gender Equality” in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Parliament of Sweden.

Workshops on the role of women in politics, education, healthcare and private sector took place in Stockholm Mayoral Office. Azerbaijani delegation also took part in plenary meetings to discuss women leadership, women as investor and other topics.
