'Azerbaijan is well ahead of Armenia '

 William Frederick Eeklen, former Dutch Minister of Defense, member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has said Azerbaijan is well ahead of Armenia, adding official Baku will achieve just settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Speaking to “Building Bridges” international conference in Baku, Frederick Eeklen praised Azerbaijan`s development. “Azerbaijan has strengthened its position both in the region and in the world. The activity of Azerbaijan in the international organization over last years, the work done by the Azerbaijani Diaspora, the country`s development in the military and economic fields deserves admiration. Azerbaijan is much ahead of Armenia in terms of overall development.”

He noted the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict requires time. “Azerbaijan is capable of returning its occupied lands.”
