Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, who is participating in the 67th session of the United Nations General Assembly, has met co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
They discussed a stalemate in the peace talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov blamed Armenia`s non-constructive stance and stalling tactics for the delay in finding a solution to the dispute. The FM noted Armenia was using various excuses for preserving the current status quo.
The co-chairs reaffirmed the statements by their presidents, saying status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is unacceptable.
Mammadyarov said regional peace, calm and security would be under threat until Armenia rejects to withdraw its armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands.
