NATO backs Azerbaijan’s defence reforms

NATO supports Azerbaijan's defence reforms, NATO Secretary General Angers Fogh Rasmussen wrote in his Twitter page.

Rasmussen said his visit is timely.

"NATO and Azerbaijan recently took important steps to deepen partnership. Azerbaijan committed stronger and longer to ISAF," he wrote.

The NATO Secretary General noted he was glad to be at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, an important school of international affairs.

Rasmussen arrived in Azerbaijan from Tbilisi where he was as part of this regional visit.

He is expected to meet with Azerbaijan's top leadership.
