U.S senator to visit Azerbaijan

On September 5, 2012 Washington State Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown presented at the Baku American Corner at the Azerbaijan University of Languages, the U.S embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend today.

Senator Brown is in Azerbaijan on a four-day speaking tour sponsored by the US Embassy and United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), and will also present in Ganja, Yevlakh, and Gazakh.

She is meeting with students and young leaders from around the country to discuss her experience as a female politician, women's involvement in American Government, and the important characteristics of women leaders in the US and Azerbaijan.
Senator Brown was elected to the Washington State Legislature in 1992.
