'Trial over Azerbaijani poets detained in Iran to complete within 15-20 days'

The trial over Azerbaijani poets Farid Huseyn and Shahriyar Hajizade, detained in Iran will complete within 15-20 days. The information about the judgement will be disseminated, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev said today.

He said that the representatives of the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Iran met with the judge considering the case of Farid Huseyn and Shahriyar Hajizade yesterday.

The judge said that a formal accusation has not been put forward toward the Azerbaijani citizens yet.

Farid Huseyn and Shahriyar Hajizade went to the poetry festival in Iran and were arrested there on May 2.
