Program of Turkic-Speaking states Bishkek Summit announced

The program of Bishkek Summit of the Turkic-Speaking Countries Cooperation Council scheduled to be held on August 23 was made public.

According to the Kyrgyz media, Turkey and Kazakhstan will be represented in the summit by the presidents of these countries, Azerbaijan – by Prime Minister Arthur Rasizadeh.

On August 22, the foreign ministers’ Council will gather in Bishkek to coordinate the issues to be discussed at the summit. Foreign ministers Ruslan Kazakbayev of Kyrgyzstan, Yerjan Kazikhanov of Kazakhstan, Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey, Elmar Mammadyarov of Azerbaijan, TurkPA Secretary General Ramil Hasanov, TURKSOY First Secretary Firat Purtash, First Secretary of the Turkic-Speaking Countries Cooperation Council Halil Akinci, as well as heads of different Kyrgyz organizations will attend the meeting.

The documents about foundation of Turkic-Speaking Countries Development Fund, Association of Turkic-Speaking Universities, draft cooperation program between the foreign ministries, foundation of Turkic World’s Pride Prize, agreement on rules of financing Turkic-Speaking Cooperation Council, foundation of Turkic Academy, Turkic Culture Support Fund, draft agenda of the Council’s second summit and draft Bishkek declaration are expected to be discussed and adopted at the summit.
