Ukraine, Azerbaijan mull coop

Chairman of the State Administration of the Volyn province of Ukraine Boris Klimmchuk and Mayor of the Ganja city Executive Power Elmar Valiyev has discussed the expansion of the directions of ??international and regional cooperation issues in the Lutsk.

The Rector of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University Mirdamad Sadigov, head of the Regional Science Center Fuad Aliyev and the representative of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine Ruslan Gurbanov have attended the event.

Chairman of the State Administration has welcomed the representatives of Azerbaijan and underlined the high dynamics of the economic cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan during the last two years.

Klimmchuk told about the forming of the cooperation between Ganja and Volyn and added that it has started in 2009. “We have signed a relevant agreement on the trade- economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation” said Klimmchuk.

The potential of trade- economic relations between the businessmen of Ganja and Volyn is not fully used but we are ready to improve it. Members of the Azerbaijani delegation were informed on the economic potential of the Volyn Province.

Azerbaijani representatives also got acquainted with the activities of large-scale enterprises operating in the territory of the province – “Lutsk Fudz,” “Volinholdinq” joint-stock companies, “Nestle,” “Amila,” “Gerbor-Holding” and “Rojissenski sirzavod.”

They also stressed cooperation in the field of education. Ganja city Executive Power Elmar Valiyev told that Volyn National University and the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University have a memorandum on the cooperation.

Azerbaijani representatives have invited representatives of the Administration of Volyn and business circles to Ganja. The sides are planning to organize the visit on October current year.

The members of the delegation have today met with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Eynulla Madatli in diplomatic representation of Azerbaijan in Kiev and put flowers on the bust of the Azerbaijani national Leader Heydar Aliyev.
