U.S. Congressmen make statement on Azerbaijan Republic Day

Members of the Unites States Congress, co-chairs of the Working Group of the US Congress on Azerbaijan Bill Shuster and Dan Boren have made a statement on the occasion of the Republic Day of Azerbaijan.

In their statement, the co-chairs stressed the importance of solid partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States, noting that Azerbaijan makes huge contribution to the global energy security and fight against international terrorism. The Congressmen in particular underlined significance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, as well as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and Baku International Sea Port projects.

“Azerbaijan, as a secular and tolerant Moslem country, has chosen a successful model of development”, the statement says.
