Azerbaijani President meets Moldovan counterpart during working visit in Moscow - UPDATE - PHOTOS

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met on Tuesday with his Moldovan counterpart Nicolae Timofti in Russian capital.

Praising the development of the relations between the two countries in different fields, the presidents pointed out the existence of great potential for boosting of cooperation in energy, investment and other spheres. The sides also expressed assurance on the successful development of bilateral relations.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev yesterday met his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev at the Grand Kremlin Palace as part of his working visit to Russia.

The presidents praised the development of the relations between the two countries in different fields, and expressed satisfaction with the activity of the joint intergovernmental commission.

They stressed the importance of reciprocal visits, saying they greatly contribute to developing the bilateral ties.

The presidents pointed out the existence of good opportunities for the development of the bilateral cooperation, saying the relations between the two states and their people were based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended an informal summit of the CIS Council of Heads of State. Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the CIS Heads of State, including the Azerbaijani leader.

The Russian President thanked the CIS leaders for accepting the invitation to attend the summit. Current chairman of the CIS, Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov addressed the event.

The summit featured discussions on development of cooperation and integration processes in the CIS.

At the Vnukovo 2 International Airport decorated with the state flags of CIS member states, the President of Azerbaijan was welcomed by top-ranking state and government officials of Russia.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today left for the Russian Federation for a working visit to attend an unofficial meeting of leaders of CIS member states.

At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Head of State was seen of by head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev and Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov.
