Events on 20th anniversary of Shusha occupation held abroad

The Azerbaijani embassy in Libya held a number of commemorative events to mark the 20th anniversary of occupation of Shusha town.

A text of the Milli Majlis`s message on the 20th anniversary of occupation of Shusha to the European Parliament, PACE and the world parliaments was also submitted to National Transitional Council of Libya.

The officials of Azerbaijani embassy met with representatives of mass media outlets to inform about Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan.

Fatih Yunis, editor-in-chief of “Gurina El-Jadida” daily newspaper published an article on “Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan calls upon the European Parliament and the PACE to join efforts for resolution of the conflict launched by Armenian armed forces.” http://www.qurynanew.com/34216

Azerbaijan`s consulate general in Aktau, Kazakhstan held a commemorative event to mark the 20th anniversary of occupation of Shusha.

The consul general Rashad Mammadov told of history of occupation of Shusha by Armenian armed forces on May 8 1992. He said the historical and cultural monuments, hospitals, tourism centers, schools were destroyed by Armenians in Shusha town.

The participants saw the photo stand on history of Shusha town and the books on realities of Karabakh presented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. A documentary on Shusha occupation was also broadcasted.
