Azerbaijan-Morocco cooperation mulled

Azerbaijani ambassador to Morocco Sabir Agabeyov has met with the Prime Minister of this country Abdelilah Benkiran. The Ambassador handed over a congratulatory letter of Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade to Abdelilah Benkiran as he was newly appointed Premier of Morocco.

The diplomat briefed the Moroccan official on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, adding the two countries will mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
Agabeyov stated that Azerbaijan supports Morocco`s position in Western Sahara dispute, while Morocco backs Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The sides enjoy close cooperation within international organizations.

The Azerbaijani diplomat stated that the UN Security Council membership would contribute to boosting bilateral ties, adding his country is interested in development of relations in political, economic and humanitarian spheres.

In turn, the Moroccan Premier expressed satisfaction with the current state of cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted importance to diversify bilateral ties in various fields.
