
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited three Armenian POWs and five members of one family kept in captivity in Azerbaijan.
The ICRC representatives delivered four 'Red Cross' letters and received 3 'Red Cross' letters and 3 messages from them, ICRC Baku Office told Trend on Thursday. There are three Armenian POWs and five members of one family in Azerbaijan.
There is one Azerbaijani POW in Armenia. Junior sergeant of Azerbaijani Armed Forces Mammadbagir Akhunzade was captured several days ago.
Working under the Geneva Convention, the ICRC has been operating in the region since 1992 in connection with the Nagorny Karabakh conflict.
