Azerbaijani FM condemns French Senate - UPDATE

Azerbaijan strongly condemns the law on "Armenian genocide" adopted by France, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

"The Azerbaijani Republic deeply regrets about the law on criminalising the denial of "Armenian genocide" adopted by the French Senate," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

"Azerbaijan strongly condemns this decision. The French Senate's unilateral steps, contrary to the principles of democracy, human rights, freedom of speech and expression, can cause serious damage to the participation of this country in some regional processes and lead to unpleasant consequences."
