Iran refutes its involvement in recent attacks

Iran has nothing to do with hacker attacks on Azerbaijan's state and public organizations' websites, spokesman of Iran's Embassy in Azerbaijan Abbas Isgandari reported. He said such reports damage Azerbaijani-Iranian relations.


Azerbaijani websites were hacked on Jan.16. Information resources of several ministries, public organizations and media outlets, located in the servers of data-processing center of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry and Special State Protection Service of Azerbaijan were hacked.

Azerbaijani Deputy Communications and IT Minister Elmir Velizade said earlier that the Ministry investigates the hacker attacks and will take necessary steps based on the international practice.
