'Iraq will always be close to Azerbaijan'

The Iraqi parliamentarians invite Azerbaijani businessmen to invest in projects in Iraq. "We invite the Azerbaijani businessmen to make investments in our country," Chief of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee of Iraq Sheikh Humam Hamoudi told journa,lists in Baku today.

 The Iraqi delegation's visit to Azerbaijan will serve to strengthen relations between the two countries and development of formal and informal ties, he said. "We support the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and Iraq will always be with Azerbaijan,” he stated.
 
Expressing his attitude to the number of Azerbaijani pilgrims traveling to Karbala, he noted that the Iraqi side supports and appreciates these visits.

The delegation headed by Hamoudi visited the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Martyrs. Today, the delegation is scheduled to meet with Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov.
