Book on Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations published

“Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations – challenges and opportunities” book has been published by Pakistan`s English-Arabic bilingual magazine “Diplomatic Insight”. The preface of the book provides an insight into the two countries` relations, reciprocal visits by the Heads of State, international cooperation as well as national leader Heydar Aliyev`s contributions to developing Azerbaijan-Pakistan relationship.

The book highlights Pakistan`s supports of Azerbaijan`s position on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The book`s author also emphasized Pakistan didn`t recognize Armenia as a state.

The book also briefs the readers about the ancient and modern history of Azerbaijan, restoration of its independence, national leader Heydar Aliyev`s services, and especially the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The author also lauds President Ilham Aliyev`s activity, reforms carried out in the country, Azerbaijan`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and the country`s increasing role in the international relations system. The book also highlights the country`s economic accomplishments and energy projects.

The book also provides information on Azerbaijan`s aid to Pakistan to deal with the consequences of recent natural disasters. It also praises the construction of a school for girls in the city of Muzaffarabad which was built at the initiative of Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
